YuJa (Faculty) - Add a Video to Blackboard to Grade Percent Watched

1. 1. Navigate to the video. Hover your mouse over the thumbnail and click More in the menu that appears.
      
      
      
      
   2. In the Media Details pop-up page, click on the Quizzes tab. Then click on Create Playback Quiz.
      
      
      
      
   3. Title the quiz. This will the the name of the link of the video.
      
      Click the first radio button for the student to receive full credit based on the percentage you designate.
      Or click on the second radio button to give credit based on how much of the video the students watched.
      
      Click the Create button at the bottom of the window.
      
      
      
      
   4. Return to Blackboard.
      
      
      

      Deploy a YuJa Video Quiz in Blackboard

       

      1. Navigate to the Course Content area of your Blackboard Ultra course and click the purple plus sign in the location where you would like to deploy the YuJa Video Quiz. Choose Content Market
         
         
         
         
      2. Scroll to the bottom of the Content Market and select YuJa Video Quizzes and Analytics.
         
         
         
         
      3. From the Media Chooser, click on the Quizzes tab.
         
         
         
         
      4. Locate the quiz and click on it to select it. Click the Insert Content button at the bottom of the window.
         
         
         
         
      5. The video quiz will appear as a link with the YuJa icon next to it. Click the ellipsis next to the title and choose Edit.
         
          
         
         
      6. In the side panel that appears, you can edit the video quiz title, set a due date, adjust the point value, and add descriptive text. The point value will default to 100, so make sure you edit the point value accordingly. It is good practice to add a description that includes the due date and points possible for the video quiz. Click Save. 
         
         
         
         Note: The grades may not transfer to the Gradebook immediately, especially for Analytics scores. Please allow extra time for those to transfer to the Gradebook. 

       

Note: when students start viewing the video, the grades will not appear instantaneously. It may take a few minutes up to an hour for the grades to appear.
