This article provides an overview of how to setup the Remote Desktop application in Windows to use the SIUE Remote Desktop Gateway to connect to an On Campus Computer via RDP. 

Note: Before your first connection, please make sure your MFA Authentication Method is setup for "App-based authentication - Notification".

Open the local Remote Desktop Connection application on your windows computer.

Click the Show Options button to display all options for configuration.

Enter <eid>.desktop.siue.edu for Computer: (Replace <eid> with your username.)

Click on the Advanced tab and click the Settings... button under Connect from anywhere. 

Select Use these RD Gateway server settings: 

Enter Server Name: desktop-siuecougars.msappproxy.net

Click OK button to save settings.

You should now be ready to click Connect button to connect.

You will be prompted to enter your Username/Password.

You should then receive a notification in your Microsoft Authenticator application to Approve the login.

You may be prompted to approve a certificate or trust the computer.
