ITS Help Desk - Microsoft Password Reset Tool for Winter Session Students
If you forget your SIUE e-ID password, Winter Session students can use the Microsoft Self Service Password Reset tool to get a new password using a combination of two other forms of verification. Here is a step-by-step guide to using the tool:
- Visit office.com.
- Click "Sign In"
- On the next screen, enter your SIUE e-mail address and click "Next."
- When prompted for your password, choose "Forgot my password."
- You'll then be asked to enter your email address and some characters from an image.
- Next, pick a method of verification and follow the instructions.
- Then, pick a second method of verification and follow the instructions.
- Enter your new password into both boxes and click "Finish."
- Password requirements:
- Minimum of 14 characters
- Contains letters and numbers (Special characters optional)
- 1 Uppercase and 1 Lowercase letter
- Select "click here" to sign in with your new password.
