ITS Help Desk - Microsoft Password Reset Tool for Winter Session Students

If you forget your SIUE e-ID password, Winter Session students can use the Microsoft Self Service Password Reset tool to get a new password using a combination of two other forms of verification. Here is a step-by-step guide to using the tool:
  1. Visit office.com.
  2. Click "Sign In"

  3. On the next screen, enter your SIUE e-mail address and click "Next."

  4. When prompted for your password, choose "Forgot my password."

  5. You'll then be asked to enter your email address and some characters from an image.

  6. Next, pick a method of verification and follow the instructions.

  7. Then, pick a second method of verification and follow the instructions.

    • Enter your new password into both boxes and click "Finish."
        • Password requirements:
          • Minimum of 14 characters
          • Contains letters and numbers (Special characters optional)
          • 1 Uppercase and 1 Lowercase letter
        • new password
      • Select "click here" to sign in with your new password.
        • Finish
