Blackboard (Faculty) - Microsoft Teams: Schedule Class Sessions/Office Hours and Post the Link to Blackboard

Schedule Meeting

1. Navigate to Microsoft Teams in the desktop app or a browser.
2. Click Calendar in the left app bar.
3. Click the drop-down arrow next to New.
4. Click Event.
   
   
   
   
5. Click the Series button to enable a Recurring meeting. 
6. Enable the Teams meeting option.
   
7. Add a descriptive title.
8. Click the Date and Time field to expand the field of options.
9. Choose the Start date, Start time, End time, recurring pattern, and ending date.
   
   
10. Click Save.
    
    
    
    
11. Optionally, set the meeting options by clicking 'Options' to the right of Teams Meeting.
    
    

Copy Link

1. Double-click the event created in the steps above.
2. Click the drop-down arrow next to the Share button.
3. Click the Copy join link button. 
   
   

Create Web Link in Blackboard

1. Navigate to Blackboard and the content area where the web link will be created.
2. Click the plus sign (+).
3. Click Create.
4. Select Link in the Course Content Items section.
5. Paste the URL in the URL box.
6. Type a description in the text field. Optional: Go back to the calendar event and copy and paste the entire invitation to allow students to dial into the meeting. 
   
   
   
   
7. Click Save.
