Mobile Compatibility
The Anthology Course Evaluations system is fully mobile-responsive, allowing students to complete evaluations using various devices:
- Smartphones (iOS and Android)
- Tablets (iPad, Android tablets)
- Laptops and desktop computers
Best Practices for In-Class Administration
Improved Response Rates
Research shows significantly better response rates when students are given class time to complete SETs using their personal devices, similar to traditional paper evaluations.
University Guidelines
Follow the official university guidelines for proper administration of SETs in class. Complete guidelines are available in university policy 1j7.
Student Notification System
Blackboard Integration
Students receive notifications about available evaluations through multiple channels:
- Blackboard notification appears in their student view until evaluation is completed
- Persistent reminder remains visible until submission
Email Reminders
The system automatically sends:
- Email reminders every 2 days during the evaluation window
- Automatic cessation of reminders once student completes the evaluation
- Final reminders before the evaluation period closes
Technical Requirements
Device Compatibility
Students can access evaluations on:
- Any modern web browser (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge)
- Mobile browsers on smartphones and tablets
- Campus computers in labs and libraries
Internet Connection
Students need:
- Stable internet connection for submission
- SIUE network access or personal data/WiFi
