Anthology Course Evaluations (Students) - How to Submit Course Evaluations

Step-by-step guide for students on how to access and submit course evaluations through the Anthology Course Evaluations system.

Getting Started

Email Notification

Students receive an email notification at their @siue.edu email address with instructions when evaluations become available.

System Access

To access your course evaluations:

  1. Go to Anthology Course Evaluations
  2. Log in using your SIUE E-ID and password

Finding Your Available Evaluations

Navigation Steps

  1. Click the Surveys tab at the top of the page
  2. Select Available Surveys from the dropdown menu
  3. Review your list of courses requiring evaluation

Starting an Evaluation

For each course you need to evaluate:

  1. Locate the course in your available surveys list
  2. Click Take Now to begin the evaluation

Completing the Evaluation

Evaluation Components

Most course evaluations include:

  • Multiple choice questions about course content and instruction
  • Rating scales for various aspects of the course
  • Open-ended questions for detailed feedback
  • Overall assessment questions

Providing Quality Feedback

When completing evaluations:

  • Answer honestly - your responses are completely anonymous
  • Be specific in written comments
  • Focus on constructive feedback that can help improve the course
  • Consider the entire semester when rating overall performance

Submitting Your Evaluation

Completion Options

When you finish answering questions, you have two options:

Option 1: Submit Survey

  • Click Submit Survey to finalize your responses
  • Confirm submission when prompted
  • You cannot edit responses after submission
  • Email reminders stop for this course

Option 2: Save Progress & Return

  • Click Save Progress & Return to pause your work
  • Continue receiving reminders until you submit
  • Return later to complete and submit
  • Pick up where you left off when you return

Important Reminders

Anonymity and Privacy

  • All evaluations are completely anonymous
  • Instructors cannot see results until after grades are submitted
  • No individual responses can be traced back to specific students
  • Your grades cannot be affected by your evaluation responses

Email Reminders

  • Reminder emails continue until you submit each evaluation
  • Partial completion doesn't stop reminders
  • Complete submission stops reminders for that specific course
  • All reminders stop when the evaluation period ends

Device Compatibility

You can complete evaluations on:

  • Smartphones (iPhone, Android)
  • Tablets (iPad, Android tablets)
  • Laptops and desktop computers
  • Campus computers in labs and libraries

Mobile Tips

  • Ensure stable internet connection before starting
  • Allow adequate time for thoughtful responses
  • Use "Save Progress" if you need to pause
  • Double-check submission before closing browser

Common Issues

If you experience problems:

  • Clear your browser cache and try again
  • Try a different browser or device
  • Check your internet connection
  • Verify your SIUE credentials are correct

Evaluation Period Information

Typical Timeline

Course evaluations are usually available:

  • For approximately 2 weeks total
  • Until the specified deadline for each course

Complete evaluations promptly because:

  • The course is fresh in your memory
  • You avoid the last-minute rush during finals
  • Technical issues are less likely with early completion
  • Email reminders stop once you submit
