TikIt - Accessing the Virtual Agent
Starting July 14, the TikIt Virtual Agent is available in Microsoft Teams to help you get quick answers to common IT questions or submit a support request directly from the Teams interface.
How to Access the Virtual Agent
Option 1: Search for TikIt in Teams
- Open the Microsoft Teams app on your computer or in your browser.
- In the Search bar at the top, type
TikIt
.
- Select TikIt Virtual Agent from the search results.
- If you're not automatically taken to the chat window, click Chat to start your conversation.
Option 2: Access TikIt from the Chat Panel
- In the left-hand menu, click Chat.
- Look for a conversation labeled "TikIt Virtual Agent" in your chat list.
- Click the conversation to start asking questions or get help.
Using the TikIt Virtual Agent
Once you've opened a chat with TikIt, you can start asking questions immediately. The virtual agent will respond with helpful information or guide you through next steps.
What You Can Do with the Virtual Agent
- Ask common IT questions such as:
- "How do I activate my e-ID?"
- "How do I connect to eduroam?"
- "How do I access my email?"
- Submit a help ticket if your question isn't answered by the virtual agent
- Get updates on existing tickets you've previously submitted
When TikIt Can't Help
If the virtual agent cannot answer your question or resolve your issue, it will help you submit a support ticket to the ITS Help Desk. You'll receive a ticket number and can expect a response from our technical support team.
