Blackboard Ultra (Faculty) - Analytics: Course Reports
This article describes how faculty members can access and utilize Course Reports within Blackboard Ultra to gain insights into student performance and course activity.
Accessing Course Reports
To access Course Reports in Blackboard Ultra:
- Navigate to the Blackboard Ultra course, and click "Analytics" in the course navigation menu.
- Click "Course Reports" to view the reports available to run.

Available Course Reports
The following reports are available:
- Course Goal Coverage: Provides goals coverage for a single course, including both covered and gap values for all associated curricular areas, and a breakdown of course items that have been aligned to goals.
- Course Goal Performance: Provides how a course meets selected goals, including overall averages and detailed breakdowns for individual students and goals.
Running and Interpreting Reports
Running a Report
- On the Course Reports page, select the desired report and click "Create Report."
- Specify the report criteria.

- Click "Run Report.
Interpreting the Report
Each report provides different data visualizations and insights. Refer to the report's documentation for detailed information on interpreting the data. Some common elements include:
- Charts and Graphs: Visual representations of the data, such as histograms and bar charts.
- Tables: Detailed data tables with specific metrics and values.
- Summary Statistics: Key statistics, such as average scores, median scores, and standard deviations.
