Unzipping the Downloaded File

After downloading the .zip file, you will need to extract the individual files. The exact steps will vary based on your operating system.

Windows

  1. Locate the downloaded .zip file.
  2. Right-click on the file.
  3. Select "Extract All..."
  4. Choose a destination folder and click "Extract".

macOS

  1. Locate the downloaded .zip file.
  2. Double-click on the file. The archive utility will automatically extract the files to the same folder as the .zip file.

Best Practices

  • Ensure you have sufficient storage space on your computer before downloading large .zip files.
  • Remind students to use descriptive file names when submitting assignments to facilitate easier organization.
  • Regularly back up downloaded assignment files to prevent data loss.
