Blackboard Ultra allows instructors to record attendance for past class sessions. Follow these steps to add attendance for a previous date:

  2. In the Course Content area, locate the Details & Actions panel on the left side of the screen.
  3. Under Details & Actions, click the Attendance link.

Details and Actions icons on left side of main Blackboard page

  4. On the Attendance page, click the "Today" button where the students are listed.

Click on the today icon that is located to left of where you can mark the student present.

  5. Select "Edit Meeting" to change the date. A calendar will appear where a previous date can be selected.

    Click edit meeting

  6. Once a previous date has been selected, attendance can be selected (Present, Absent, Late, or Excused) for that date.
  7. The attendance selections will be saved automatically.
