Exporting Attendance Data

Blackboard Ultra allows instructors to export attendance data for their courses. This data can be downloaded as a CSV (Comma Separated Values) file, which can be opened in spreadsheet programs like Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.

Steps to Export Attendance Data:

1. Navigate to your course in Blackboard Ultra.
2. In the Course Content area, click on the Attendance link under "Details & Actions" on the left side of the page.
   
   
   
   
3. Within the Attendance interface, click the overall tab located in the upper-right corner of the page.
   
   
   
   
4. Click the export icon (looks like a square with an arrow coming out of the upper corner) to begin the download.
   
   
   
   
5. The CSV file will be downloaded to your computer. The file name will typically include the course name and the date range of the exported data.
   
   

Understanding the Exported CSV File:

The CSV file will contain attendance information for each student in your course. The columns will typically include:

• Student Name
• Date
• Attendance Status (e.g., Present, Absent, Late, Excused)

Troubleshooting:

If you encounter any issues exporting the attendance data, try the following:

• Ensure that your browser is up-to-date.
• Clear your browser's cache and cookies.
• Try using a different browser.
