Accessing Discussions

There are two primary methods for accessing Discussions in Blackboard Ultra:

From the Course Menu

1. Navigate to the Blackboard Ultra course.
2. In the course menu, locate the discussion board link. 
3. Click Discussions.
   
   

From the Course Content Area

1. Navigate to the Blackboard Ultra course.
2. In course content, locate the discussion link. It may be labeled "Discussions," "Discussion," or a similar name, as determined by the instructor.
3. Click the discussion link to access it. 
   
   

Participating in Discussions

Once you have accessed the discussion, you can participate in one by:

• Starting a new thread: Click the textbox located under the discussion prompt. Click "Post" to submit your thread.
  
  
• Replying to an existing thread: Locate the thread you wish to respond to, and then click the "Reply" button.
  
  

Discussions Guidelines

Remember to follow any guidelines provided by your instructor regarding participation in discussions. These guidelines may include requirements for the number of posts, the length of posts, and the quality of content in addition to discussions best practices.
