Blackboard Ultra (Faculty) - Gradebook: Filters

Filters in Blackboard Ultra Gradebook allow instructors to focus on specific groups of students or assignments, streamlining the grading process.

Use Filters to View Gradebook

The Gradebook Filter allows instructors to focus on specific students, groups, gradable items, assessment types, and categories. This feature was formerly known as Smart Views in Blackboard Original. 

  1. Click the Gradebook icon in the top navigation bar and select the Grades tab to view the grades in a grid or spreadsheet view.
  2. In the top right corner, click the Filter icon.

  3. Use the check box(es) to select the appropriate filters in the filter panel.

  4. The Grades view will now display only the grades and activity for the students or gradable items that meet the filtered requirement. Use the "clear all filters" option to return to the full grade view.
