Blackboard Ultra (Students) - Groups: Send Group Email

This article describes how students can send emails to their group members within a Blackboard Ultra course.

Sending Group Email

Blackboard Ultra allows students to communicate with their group members directly through email. Here's how to send an email to your group:

  1. Navigate to your Blackboard Ultra course.
  2. Locate the Groups tab on the top menu. This will display all groups or group sets in which you are enrolled.

  4. Click on the envelope icon for the specific group you wish to email.

  5. On the screen that opens, compose your email with a subject and message, then send it as you normally would.

  6. The recipients, including a copy to yourself, will see a message in their email inbox with the subject "[Sender's name] sent you a new message in [course name]".

Troubleshooting

  • If you do not see any groups in the Groups tab, your instructor may not have established groups or enrolled group members yet.
  • Ensure that your email client is properly configured on your device.
