Blackboard Ultra (Students) - Journals: Comment on a Journal Entry
This article explains how students can comment on journal entries in Blackboard Ultra.
Commenting on a Journal Entry
Students can add comments to their own journal entries or those of their classmates, depending on the journal settings set by the instructor. Comments are a great way to engage in discussions and provide feedback.
Steps to Comment
- Navigate to the journal within your Blackboard Ultra course in the course content area.
- Locate the journal entry you want to comment on and click the title to open it.

- Click the Comment link below the entry. If no comments have been added yet, it may say "Add Comment."

- Type your comment in the text box that appears.
- Click the Comment button to submit your comment.

Important Considerations
- Your instructor may allow students to delete their own comments. If so, a Delete option will appear next to your comment.
- You may be able to reply to other comments. If so, a Reply link will appear below the comment you wish to respond to.
- The instructor controls who can comment on journal entries. If you do not see a Comment option, the instructor may have disabled commenting.
