Blackboard Ultra (Students) - Turnitin Assignments: View Instructor Comments
This article explains how students can access and view instructor feedback on Turnitin assignments within Blackboard Ultra.
Accessing Turnitin Assignments in Blackboard Ultra
To view instructor comments on your Turnitin assignment, follow these steps:
- Log in to Blackboard Ultra.
- Navigate to the course where the Turnitin assignment is located.
- Locate the Turnitin assignment. This may be within a module, folder, or under the "Assignments" section.
- Click on the assignment title to open it.
Viewing Instructor Comments and Feedback
View instructor feedback through the Turnitin Feedback Studio or the Gradebook.
Accessing Feedback via Turnitin Feedback Studio
- In the assignment details, click the black Launch or View Feedback button.
- The Turnitin Assignment Dashboard appears with a list of assignments that have been submitted through Turnitin.
- Click the title of the paper to open the Turnitin Feedback Studio.
- Within Turnitin Feedback Studio, you will see the following:
- Inline Comments: These comments are directly embedded within the text of your submission. Click on each comment to view the instructor's feedback.
- General Comments: These are overall comments provided by the instructor. They are typically located in a separate panel or section within Feedback Studio.
- Rubric: If the instructor used a rubric to grade your assignment, you can view the rubric to see how you performed on each criterion.
Accessing Feedback via the Blackboard Gradebook
Turnitin Feedback can also be accessed via the Gradebook.
- Navigate to the Gradebook in the Blackboard course.
- Locate the Turnitin assignment in the Gradebook.
- Click on that assignment's row. This will open the assignment details.
- Follow the same instructions in the block above.
Troubleshooting
If you are having trouble viewing instructor comments, try the following:
- Check your browser settings to ensure that pop-ups are not blocked for Blackboard.
- Clear your browser cache and cookies.
- Try a different browser.
- Contact your instructor or the ITS Help Desk for assistance.
