SIUE is retiring Anthology Course Evaluations and replacing it with Blackboard Evaluate. Review and download any evaluation reports you want to keep, because historical access may not be available after the system is decommissioned. More details about Blackboard Evaluate, timelines, training, and support will come as implementation progresses.

Why is Anthology Course Evaluations being retired?

Anthology replaced Course Evaluations with Blackboard Evaluate, a newer platform with stronger Blackboard Learn integration that continues to support course evaluation processes for students, instructors, and administrators.

What is replacing Anthology Course Evaluations?

Blackboard Evaluate will replace Anthology Course Evaluations as SIUE's course evaluation platform. It is Anthology's next-generation evaluation system with tighter Blackboard Learn integration.

When will Anthology Course Evaluations be retired?

SIUE will communicate the official retirement date separately. Download any reports or evaluation data you want to keep before the system is decommissioned.

Will my historical evaluation data be moved to Blackboard Evaluate?

SIUE is still reviewing whether historical data will be migrated. Until further notice, plan to download and save any reports you want to keep before retirement.

What reports should I save?

Download these if they apply to you:

• Course Evaluation Summary Reports
• Individual Course Reports
• Student Comment Reports
• Trend Analysis Reports
• Reports used for annual evaluations
• Promotion and tenure documentation
• Accreditation records
• Departmental assessment reports

How do I download my reports?

1. Log in to Anthology Course Evaluations.
2. Open the desired report.
3. Click Print.
4. Select Save as PDF or Microsoft Print to PDF.
5. Save the file to your computer or OneDrive.

Can I export my data to Excel?

Department chairs and administrators with reporting permissions may be able to export data in Excel or CSV through reporting tools. Your available options depend on your role and permissions.

Will students notice any major changes?

The purpose of course evaluations remains unchanged. Students will continue to receive invitations to complete evaluations electronically, although the interface may look different in Blackboard.

Will evaluation forms or questions change?

Not necessarily. Existing forms and processes may continue with little or no change. Colleges, departments, or the Course Evaluation administration team will communicate any modifications.

Will faculty still receive evaluation reports?

Yes. Faculty will still access course evaluation results through Blackboard Evaluate according to existing university policies and report release schedules.

Will promotion and tenure processes be affected?

No. Course evaluations will continue to support annual review, promotion and tenure, accreditation, and assessment activities. Keep copies of historical reports you may need for future review cycles.

What happens if I do not save my reports before the system is retired?

You may lose access to the Anthology Course Evaluations platform after retirement. Download any reports you may need in the future before the decommissioning date.

Where should I store my downloaded reports?

SIUE recommends storing reports in a secure location such as:

• OneDrive
• Departmental SharePoint sites
• Approved university network storage

Keep multiple copies for backup.
