Blackboard Ultra (All Users) - Known Issue: You do not have permission to access this content.
This article provides an overview of how to log in and out of Blackboard when the "You do not have permission to access this content" error is received.
This error is often caused by an expired Blackboard session. To resolve the issue:
- Click Sign Out in the lower left corner of Blackboard.
- Click End session and log out.
- Click End Session.
- Close your browser tab.
- Open a new browser tab.
- Navigate to bb.siue.edu.
- Click the red Login button.
- Follow the authentication steps to log back in.
- Navigate back to the course or item you were trying to access.
If you continue to receive the error after logging out and back in, please contact the ITS Help Desk and provide the course name and the specific content you were attempting to access.
