Networking (Linux) - Connecting to eduroam Wireless

Users running Linux distributions can connect to the eduroam wireless network using their SIUE credentials and specific security configurations.

  • Inner Authentication / Phase 2 Authentication: MSCHAPv2
  • Username: Your full SIUE email address (e.g., username@siue.edu)
  • Password: Your E-ID password

  1. Open your distribution's Network Settings or click the Network icon in your system tray.
  2. Select eduroam from the list of available wireless networks.
  3. Enter the configuration parameters listed above in the authentication prompt.
  4. Click Connect.
