    • For Outlook Data File (.pst): Proceed to Step 6.
  6. PST File: In the Export Outlook Data File window, select your Tasks folder. Click the check box next to Include subfolders, then select Next.
  7. PST File: In the next Export Outlook Data File window, it is advisable to select Allow duplicate items to be created in order to ensure nothing is lost. Click Browse to select the location where you would like to save your file.
  8. PST File: Give your file a descriptive name (e.g., taskbackup.pst), then click OK to save the file.
  9. CSV File: Click Browse to select the location where you would like to save your file. Give your file a descriptive name (e.g., taskbackup.pst ), click OK, then select Next.
  10. CSV File: Check the box for Export "Tasks" from folder:. If no fields need to be mapped for the new client select Finish. Otherwise proceed to next set of steps.

Map Custom Fields for CSV Files

  1. Drag and drop from the source file on the left to the appropriate destination field on the right. If you are unsure what to select, try the default settings, then select OK.

NOTE: Clients other than Outlook may not support the same fields, therefore, it may require manual mapping. Consult the documentation for the non-Outlook client you will be using to see which fields are supported.

  1. Click Finish to prompt the Set Date Range window. Note the limitations listed and enter a date range to export, then click OK. The file will be saved to the name and location specified earlier.
