Poll Everywhere (Faculty) - Integrating with Blackboard
This article provides tips for adding the Poll Everywhere course tool to the Course Content area so results can be captured in the Gradebook if desired.
- Navigate to the Course Content page in Blackboard Ultra.
- Hover over the ideal place to insert a Poll Everywhere link and click the plus sign (+).
- Select Content Market from the drop-down menu.
- Locate the Poll Everywhere tile and click the encircled plus sign in the bottom right corner.
- A Poll Everywhere link now appears on the Course Content page. It is "hidden from students" by default. Leave the link as hidden.
- Click the Poll Everywhere link to open.
- Poll Everywhere will open in a new browser tab. You may first need to log in using your SIUE email address. Then, you will see a page that will direct you to Continue to LMS. Click through to continue.
- Locate the assignment on the list. Click Edit in the "Settings" column. Alternatively, follow these instructions to create a new assignment/poll.
- A panel appears on the right. Customize the settings for this Poll Everywhere assignment:
- Assignment Name: Type a descriptive title in the text box at the top of the panel.
- Participation: Slide toggle to the right to enable graded participation. Adjust the settings to use a percentage or points. Determine how points will be awarded based on completion only.
- Correctness: Slide the toggle to the right to enable grading based on correctness. Adjust settings to use a percentage or points.
- Click Update at the bottom of the panel to save your settings.
- The updated Poll Everywhere will now appear on the Course Content page.
