Blackboard (Faculty) - Third Party Content: Adding the RedShelf Tool to a Blackboard Course Content Area

RedShelf has partnered with Textbook Service to deliver digital course materials. The link in the Blackboard course shell will allow students single sign-on access to their required e-textbooks and digital courseware/homework systems. A RedShelf link is available in the Course Menu of all Blackboard course shells. This article describes how to add the RedShelf tool to a Blackboard course content area.

IMPORTANT:  If you are adding RedShelf to a merged course shell, please email centralregion@redshelf.com to provide them with your merged course ID.

The RedShelf tool is available in the default Course Menu of all Blackboard course shells. Follow the directions below if you would like to provide a link to RedShelf in a Content Area (ex: Coursework).

Adding RedShelf within a Content Area

  1. Within the content area, hover over Tools then expand the More Tools and click on RedShelf.
