Adobe License Changes After September 11th

Adobe app licenses are changing. Faculty, Staff and Students need to act to keep an Adobe license.

SIUE is updating Adobe licenses as part of our new agreement. Current Adobe Creative Cloud All Apps licenses will be removed on September 11th.

What do I need to do to keep Adobe access?

Students: You have already been assigned Acrobat Studio, so no action is required if you primarily use Acrobat, PDFs, documents, Adobe Express, or Adobe AI tools.

If you need professional Creative Cloud applications such as Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Lightroom, or Premiere Pro, visit Adobe Creative Cloud, find the application you need, and select Request access. ITS will review Adobe product requests and assign Creative Cloud access when appropriate.

Faculty and staff: Please visit the SIUE Adobe page and select the option that best matches your needs:

  • Documents, PDFs & AI — Choose this if you primarily use Acrobat, PDFs, documents, Adobe Express, and AI tools.
  • Creative & Media Apps — Choose this if you use Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Lightroom, Premiere Pro, or other Creative Cloud applications. Acrobat is also included.

Faculty and staff licenses will be assigned automatically after a selection is made.

When do I need to do this?

Please complete any needed action before September 11th to avoid an interruption in access. On September 11th, ITS will remove the old Creative Cloud All Apps license from your account.

Students who only need Acrobat Studio do not need to do anything. Students who need Creative Cloud applications should submit an Adobe access request before September 11th whenever possible.

If you do not need Creative Cloud now, that is OK. You can request or select the appropriate Adobe access at any time in the future.

Going forward, most Adobe access will be automatic or self-service, with some student Creative Cloud requests reviewed by ITS.
