MATLAB Online & Download
SIUE offers a campus-wide license to MATLAB, Simulink, and companion toolboxes. Students, faculty and researchers are covered by the campus-wide license and can use MatLab Online or install MATLAB Desktop on their personal devices.
Access instructions
- Visit Southern Illinois University Edwardsville’s MATLAB Portal to download the software.
- Click Sign in to get started under the Get MATLAB & SimuLink section.
- You will be asked to create a MathWorks Account. Start by entering your SIUE e-mail address.
- Create a password and confirm your new account.
- From the account confirmation page or from mathworks.com click MATLAB in the upper right corner of the screen.
- From this screen you can either Open MATLAB Online or Install MATLAB.

If you have trouble installing MATLAB, go to the portal and click “Need Installation Help” to get support.
