Outlook - Importing Local Calendar

This document provides an overview of how to import a local calendar into various versions of Outlook. Click on the drop-down menu that corresponds with your version of Outlook.

Outlook 2013 and Newer

Import a Local Calendar into Outlook using a .pst file (2013 and newer).

1. Open Outlook 2013
2. Select the File tab
   File Button
3. Select the Open & Export button
   Open & Export Button
4. Select Import/Export
   Import/Export Button

5. In the Import and Export Wizard window, select Import from another file or location, then select next
   Import Wizard
6. Select Outlook Data File (.pst) from the list of file types, then select next
   Output Data File Type

7. Click Browse to navigate and select the .pst file meant for importing a specific local calendar
   Browse Button
8. Select Replace duplicates with items imported, then click Next
   Duplicate Option Field

9. Select Include subfolders
   Include Subfolders Option

10. Select Import Items into the current folder
   Import Items Into Current Folders Option

11. Select Finish
   Finish Button

    Outlook 2011

    1. Open Outlook.
    2. Click File, then select Import....
    3. Select Outlook Data File (.pst or .olm), then click the right arrow to continue.
    4. Select the file format that you wish to import. For this example we are going to choose Outlook for Mac Data file (.olm) and click the right arrow to continue.
    5. Navigate to the file you wish to import, then select Import.
    6. The import is now complete. Click Done to exit from this menu.

    Note: Imported emails will be in a folder labelled Archive Folder.

    Note: Imported calendars will be under On My Computer.

    Outlook 2010

    1. Open Outlook 2010, then select File.
    2. Click Open, then select Import.
    3. In the Import and Export Wizard, select Import from another program or file.
    4. Select Outlook Data File (.pst).
    5. Click Browse, then select the Outlook data file (.pst) meant for importing local calendar data into Outlook 2010.
    6. Select Replace duplicates with the items imported, then click Next.
    7. Expand the user's folder, select Calendar as the target location for this import, then click Finish.
    8. The targeted calendar should now display of list of appointments.
