Windows 7 - Accessing Personal Shared Drive

Explains steps on how to get to the personal shared drive.

This documents provides an overview for accessing your personal shared drive, also known as the H:\ drive, on a computer that is using Windows 7.

1. Open the Start Menu.

2. Select Computer on the right hand side of the menu.

3. A new window will open titled “Computer.”

4. Listed at the bottom of the “Computer” window, under the “Network Location” header, will be an icon with your e-ID next to it. This is your personal drive, also called the H:\ drive.

5. Double-click the icon with your e-ID and it will open up your personal drive, allowing you to see the contents that are located here. Any domain-accessible computer that you login to on campus with your e-ID and password will allow you to access the files located here.
