Blackboard (Faculty) - Retention Center: Access to the Retention Center
This document provides an overview of how to access the Retention Center.
Access the Retention Center
To access the Retention Center:
- From your Blackboard course in the Control Panel, click Evaluation, then click Retention Center.
If the Retention center is not listed, from the Control Panel, click Customization, then click Tool Availability.
Scroll down to Retention Center and check the box.
Click Submit on the top or bottom of the page.
Retention Center Overview
The Retention Center consists of three parts
- Student at risk
- Student you are monitoring
- Your course activity
Students at Risk
The Student at Risk bar shows the number of students that have triggered an alert.
Click on the bar to show students in each category.
Students You Art Monitoring
The right panel are a list of specific student you are monitoring.
To add a student to this panel, click on the red dot in the associated column, then click on the Monitor star.
Your Course Activity
The bottom panel shows YOUR course activity:
- Assignments pending
- Your activity in discussion boards, blogs, journals, and groups.
- Recent announcements
- Fresh course content
