Blackboard (Faculty) - Known Issue: Control Panel (Instructor Menu) Is White, Appears to Be Missing

This document describes what to do if your Blackboard Control Panel is not visible in your course.

Some course themes/colors applied before the November 2016 upgrade cause the instructor menu to appear hidden because they are showing white text on a white background. You can fix this by changing the theme in your course back to Default, or to any other theme.

1. After logging into your course, check the top right corner of the screen to make sure that "Edit Mode" is turned On.

2. To the left of the "Edit Mode" button, click the Change Course Theme button (it looks like a color fan).

3. Choose a new course theme from the drop down menu. Your changes will appear after you select a theme.

Course theme button appears as a fan
