Game Console MAC Address Location Guide
The Game Console Registration form can be found by clicking on Register your system and check current registrations on the ITS page at http://www.siue.edu/its/network/students/gameconsolereg.shtml.
Once on the Console Registration page, you will need to enter the Type of Console, the wired MAC Address, and Residence.
For help finding the wired Mac Address see the below device specifications.
1. On the Xbox Contoller, press the Xbox button
2. From the Profile & System menu, select Settings
3. From the General section, select Network Settings
4. Select Advanced Settings
5. On the IP Settings menu, the wireless MAC address will be listed by Wireless MAC
1. If you are signed into a profile, go to My Games & Apps and Settings. If you are not signed into a profile, just go to Settings.
2. Select Network, then Advanced Settings.
3. Scroll down and select Network Settings. Then choose Wired (Ethernet).
1. Go the Xbox 360 Dashboard and navigate all the way to the right most tab labeled “My Xbox” and select the “System Settings” option.
2. Select Network Settings then Configure Network
3. Go to the Additional Settings Tab and select the Advanced Settings. In the next window you should see the MAC Address listed.
1. In the PS5 menu, arrow up and select Settings
2. Scroll down to and click Network
3. Scroll down to View Connection Status
- The wired MAC address will listed next to MAC Address (LAN)
- The wireless MAC address will be listed next to MAC Address (Wi-Fi)
1. Go to Settings in the main menu (looks like a toolbox).
2. Scroll down and select System. Then select System Information.
3. Here you will see the MAC addresses for LAN (Ethernet) and Wi-Fi.

2. In the menu on the left side, select Internet. The MAC Address will be under System MAC Address.
1. On the 3DS Home Screen, select System Settings. Then select Internet Settings.
2. In the Internet Settings, select Other Information and then Confirm MAC Address. The MAC Address will be listed here.
Note: You will have to use a 3rd party "Ethernet to USB" adapter. The MAC address of that adapter is what you will use as your wired MAC address. This address is usually printed on the adapter packaging.
If the MAC address is not printed on the adapter packaging, you will need to do the following:
1. Plug your Wii LAN adapter into a USB port on a Windows computer. Wait for drivers to install. (They should be called Generic USB Ethernet Adapter.) If you do not have access to a Windows computer, contact the ITS Help Desk for additional assistance.
2. After installation completes, go to Start>All Programs>Accessories>Command Prompt.
3. Type ipconfig/all & press Enter.
4. Scroll up until you find USB Ethernet Adapter and the MAC address.
