CurricUNET Instructions (Graduate School Course Review Committee)

This document provides an overview for the Graduate School's Course Review Committee (CRC) on how to use CurricUNET to review and approve course modification forms. This process replaces the old email/paper process.

Step 1:  You’ll receive an email from the Graduate School when there are new courses for committee review.  Make note of the courses referenced in the email.  Note: Ignore any emails originating from the CurricUNET system.  

Step 2:  Navigate to to login with your eID and password.

Step 3:  Click the Approvals button at the top of the system window.  Note:  You’ll notice an orange number bubble on the button when you have new items for review.

Step 4:  Clicking the “Title” column header in the gray bar will sort this column alphabetically which will make it easier to find the course referenced in the email.

Step 5:  Click anywhere in the row to open the form referenced in the email.  Note:  The text you see in the “Position” column may be different depending on your role.

Step 6:  Click View Course Proposal to open the form.

Step 7:  Click the tabs along the left to view different sections of the form.

Step 8:  Alternatively, you can click the back arrow in your browser to return to the previous screen and click All Fields to view the entire proposal in one screen.  Note:  This will open a new tab in your browser.  Close this tab when you are finished with your review.

Step 9:  The Course Outline button will allow you to view the current catalog description.  Note:  Close the Course Outline tab to return to the main CurricUNET screen.

Step 10:  The Comparison button will highlight all proposed changes in green italics.  Note: This will probably be most helpful for change forms such as 90C and 91A.  Close the Comparison tab to return to the main CurricUNET screen.

Step 11:  The Impact button shows the impact the proposed changes have on other courses and programs.  Note:  This information will be reviewed in the pre-check phase and may not be helpful to the course review committee members.  Close the Impact tab to return to the main CurricUNET screen.

Step 12:  When you are ready to submit your decision, select “Reviewed” from the Action drop-down.  Enter any pertinent comments (i.e. items needed) and click Commit Note:   Comments entered on this screen are public and can be seen by everyone.  Once you click Commit, your submission is final and cannot be changed.
