Office 365 - Stream: Enable Automatic Video Captioning

This document describes how to enable automatic captioning in Microsoft Stream and how to edit the captions.

  1. Upload your video to Stream
  2. Turn automatic captioning on
  3. Allow time for them to process*
  4. Edit any inaccuracies
  5. Share your video with others
*Microsoft's site says, "Automatic captions generally take 1-2x the video's duration to finish processing (i.e. expect to wait roughly 2 hours for a 1 hour video." Note: Microsoft currently supports English and Spanish languages for automatic captioning.
