TechSmith Knowmia (Relay): Move a Video to a Folder (All Users)

This document provides an overview on how to move a video to a folder in TechSmith Knowmia (formerly TechSmith Relay).

Best practices indicate that organizing videos into folders will make finding and sharing videos easier. We recommend that you create folders based on your course, and if necessary, subfolders based on week or topic. See Create a Folder for more information. Note: You can only move videos within your "My Library" folders and sub-folders. To transfer a video to another user, see the Knowledge Base article Transfer a Video to Another Person.

Move a Video to a Folder

1. Log into TechSmith Knowmia at

2. Navigate to the video.

3. Click on the three vertical dots in the lower right corner.

4. Click Move on the expanded menu.

5. In the Select Location drop-down box, select the folder name. Note that sub-folders are indented under the parent folder.

If you have not made a folder, click Create New button.
Name the folder. Click Create.

6. Click Move.

The video will move to the new folder.

Note: Moving the video will not break any links or permissions.
