Blackboard (Faculty) - Assignments: Clear, Ignore, and Allow Additional Attempt

This document provides an overview of how to clear an attempt on a Blackboard assignment submission.
  • Clear the Attempt - If a student has submitted the wrong assignment or has submitted before they attached the file, clearing the attempt will delete the attempt and allow them to upload the file again.
  • Ignore the Attempt - if a student needs to re-submit an assignment but you want to keep the original, ignoring the attempt will allow this.
  • Allow Additional Attempt - similar to ignoring the attempt, this allows students to upload another file while maintaining the original submission. This option appears only in assignments.
