Office 365 - Locked out of Outlook Office 365
This is an overview if you log into your email account and it says you are locked.
You try logging into your email account and you receive and error message that your account is locked.
If you are a current student, staff, or faculty for SIUE, your password is most likely expired. Updating your password is easy. Instructions can be found here: e-ID - Changing your e-ID password
Once you change an expired password, you must wait 45-50 minutes for your email account to become active. It will still continue to tell you that you are locked if you try before that time. Everything else should work right away.
If you are not a current student, your account becomes locked after 1 year after graduation or last class. We do not provide permanent email addresses to Alumni.
