YuJa (Faculty) - Link/Embed a Video from YouTube, Vimeo, or Another Website
This article contains information on how to link and embed a video from YouTube, Vimeo, or another website.
YuJa allows users to embed videos from YouTube, Vimeo, and other website into YuJa. Not all YuJa functions will be available across the platforms.
Embed a YouTube Video
Embedding a video from YouTube links that video in your YuJa Media Library. You cannot edit the video or generate captioning in YuJa. Instead, you must rely on the original video in YouTube to be captioned.

*Cannot create captions in YuJa, but if the original is captioned, they are accessible.
- Go to https://www.youtube.com and navigate to the video you want to embed.
- Below the video, click on the Share button.
- Click on the Copy button next to the URL.
- Return to YuJa: https://siue.yuja.com. Log in and navigate to the folder in which you will store your video.
- Click the Upload button in the menu bar.
- In the Add Media window, click the Link button . Then click YouTube in the drop down list.
- Paste the YouTube URL in the YouTube Link box. To Paste using a PC, use Ctrl and V. For Mac, use Cmmd and V.
*Note: The Import from YouTube option is no longer available. - Select the Embed YouTube Link radio button, then click Start Upload.
Upload A Vimeo Video
Uploading a Vimeo Video does allow some YuJa features, however many are not available such as quizzing, editing, and captioning.Video Quiz |

Often, uploading a Vimeo video in YuJa will result in this error. It may be easier to use a web link/URL in Blackboard or on your webpage and link directly to the video in Vimeo.
Upload A Video From Other Webpages
