Editing a Turnitin Assignment
Instructors can edit Turnitin assignments in Blackboard Ultra to adjust settings such as the points possible, submission settings, and feedback release dates. Note that some settings must be adjusted on the Blackboard side, like the assignment due date.
Steps to Edit
- Locate the Turnitin assignment you wish to edit in your Blackboard Ultra content area and click on the assignment title.

- The Turnitin LTI will launch. From there, click Edit Settings in the top right corner of the screen.

- Modify the desired settings:
Scheduling- Feedback Release Date: Set the date when students can view their Turnitin feedback.
- Grading and feedback
- Points Possible: Change the maximum points for the assignment.
- Rubric: Attach a rubric to use for grading
- Submission settings
- Allow late submissions, enable similarity reports, etc.
- When you are done making changes, click Save Assignment in the bottom right corner.

Edit the Due Date
The assignment due date cannot be edited when you return to the Turnitin settings discussed above.
- To adjust that date on the Blackboard side, click the ellipsis (...) next to the Turnitin assignment title.
- Click Edit, and a side panel will appear where you can adjust the due date and other assignment settings specific to Blackboard.
