This article describes the Feedback Studio tools available when grading Standard Turnitin assignments within Blackboard Ultra.

This document provides an overview of how to use Turnitin Feedback Studio to grade and leave feedback on a Standard Turnitin Assignment.

Accessing Turnitin Feedback Studio

This document provides an overview of how to access and grade student submissions on Turnitin assignments in Blackboard.

Turnitin Feedback Studio is an online tool used for grading papers, presentations, and other student work. A Similarity Report lists flagged content that matches other papers in the Turnitin paper database and other sources online. The Feedback Studio also allows for in-line comments typed directly on submitted work, and customized QuickMarks make providing quality feedback efficient.

Accessing Turnitin Feedback Studio

Turnitin Feedback Studio can only be accessed on assignments created with the integrated Turnitin Tool located in Blackboard's Content Market. Once assignments are submitted, papers can then be graded using Feedback Studio. These assignments have the Turnitin logo, which looks like a blue rectangle with an arrow in the bottom corner:

Similarity and Flags

A Turnitin Similarity Report highlights text in a submission that matches content found in Turnitin’s databases, including websites, previously submitted student papers, journals, publications, and other sources. The Similarity Score represents the percentage of matched text within the document. A match does not automatically indicate plagiarism, as properly quoted, cited, or commonly used content may also appear as matches. Instead, the Similarity Report serves as a tool to help instructors review submissions and determine whether any academic integrity concerns are present.
