ITS Labs & Classroom - Connecting to V-Lab from a Windows computer

This document shows instructions for how to connect to V-Lab from a Windows computer.

How to connect to V-Lab from a Windows computer:

  1. Make sure you have the Microsoft Authenticator app installed and setup on your phone. V-Lab will not work with text or phone call two factor authentication.
  2. Login to the Remote Software service (https://vlab.siue.edu).
  3. Click on the "Lab Desktop" application to download it.
  4. Open the downloaded file. You'll see the following prompt:
    1. Image of connecting to V-Lab using a Windows operating system
  5. Click "Show Details" and make sure "Drives" is checked.
  6. Click "Connect"
  7. Login with your user name as "campus\e-id" and then enter your password.
  8. Review the MFA prompt on your phone and approve if accurate

Cause (optional) :
Users may not have been connecting to V-Lab with campus\e-id
