YuJa (Faculty) - Intermediate Editing: Inserting Text Over a Video
This document describes how to insert text over a video in YuJa.
The text overlay feature is an ideal way to add additional information or correct existing information. Adding a speaker's name and title gives a more professional air to a video.
- Navigate to the video thumbnail. Hover the mouse over the thumbnail and click Edit.
- Play the video up to the spot where the text will start.
- From the tool bar, select the Overlays button.

-
Ensure Text is selected from the Overlay menu options. Select the font size from the preset options (Title, Headline, etc.), or click + Add Text to manually adjust the font size.

-
In the textbox, type the text to appear in the Text Overlay. Adjust the size of the text, if desired. The largest is 120

-
Adjust the start and end times for the text overlay to appear in your media in the Start and End textboxes, if needed.
- Drag and drop the text into a new position.
- When all text has been added, click the Save Project button at the top of the page.

- The title of the video will include "_edited". This new title can be edited to your preference. It is a best practice to save a new video rather than replacing the original to preserve the original video. Click the Save As New button.

- You will be returned to your Media Library.
