YuJa (Faculty) - Intermediate Editing: Create a Picture-in-Picture Video

This document describes how to add a second video stream to an existing video.
  1. Locate the main video thumbnail. Hover your mouse over the thumbnail and click Edit. A new window will open.

  2. Click on the Video icon in the left menu. If you do not see the Video icon, toggle Advance Mode to On.

  3. In the Video panel, select the video thumbnail. If you do not see the video, use the Search media bar to search for the title. The video must be in your library or shared with you for it to appear in the video panel.

  4. In the Insert Video panel, select:
    Target Stream: Video 2 (New)
     Insertion Type: Current Time - Override
    Click Apply at the bottom of the Insert Video window.

  5. Now the timeline displays two video streams, Video 1: Original video and Video 2: the overlaid, Picture-in-Picture, video.

  6. Play the video and make any adjustments to the second video as needed. Click Save at the top of the page. Then click Save as New Video as to not override the original. 

    Depending upon the length of the video, it may take several minutes up to an hour to render and be usable.
