How to request a Shared Mailbox
This is an overview of how a user would request a Shared Mailbox.
A Shared Mailbox is a special email Inbox that functions exactly the same as a normal email, except that multiple people can have access to the same Inbox. To request a Shared Mailbox, email your request to winadmin@siue.edu.
Note: If the request is for a student organization, the faculty advisor must send the email.
Please include the following information:
- A display name (Example: ITS Multimedia)
- A proposed email address, which must be 8 characters or more (Example: itsmultimedia@siue.edu)
- A list of the email addresses that will need access to the mailbox
- A brief description of the mailbox's purpose
