Blackboard (Faculty) - Rubrics: Export and Import Rubrics
This document provides an overview of exporting and importing rubrics.
Export Rubrics
- On the Control Panel, expand the Course Tools section and click Rubrics.
- Select the check box next to the rubric's name and click Export.
- Select Export to local computer.
- Submit.
- Download the .zip file to your device.
If you are sharing this rubric with another instructor, this is the file that they will use to import the rubric into their course.
Note: DO NOT open the file or unzip it. If you use Safari as your browser, review this Knowledge Base article to ensure the .zip file does not automatically open: https://kb.siue.edu/78607.
Import Rubrics
- On the Control Panel, expand the Course Tools section and click Rubrics.
- Select the check box next to the rubric's name and click Import Rubric.
- Browse for the .zip file the file on your computer.
- Click Submit to upload the file.
Important Note:
You should not edit the rubric outside of Blackboard Learn.
Blackboard Rubric exports are not compatible with Turnitin Rubrics and cannot be imported into Turnitin.
